Naming the Dead -- 100,000 Iraqi Civilians and 1,700 US Soldiers Dead So Far

I made this list up because
I know that if I met each of the dead
Iraqi civilians and US Soldiers, I would find among
them these people:

Sits with babies
Runs as fast as boys
Like water
Smiles in the morning
Eats a lot
Big feet
Baby boy
Laughs like a dog
Sneaky
Little face
Enjoys cold nights
Eyes like stars
Sad a lot
Walks like a bird
Yells first
Never speaks
Chatterer
Mini mule
Happy as a frog

I added names for my friends
and names for myself
and names for people I imagined
to be true. I'm sure I would find
among 100,000 people and among 1700 people
those who are like my friends
and those who are like me
and those who I imagine
to be true.
