04/22/2004 Archived Entry: Featured Reading Tomorrow Night - Friday 4/23/04 at 8:00 PM
I'm published. I'm award-winning. I've even been called phenomenal. (Phenomenally what you ask, Mom? :-) And tomorrow night I've got a featured reading. (A "featured reading" means that I'll read my work for about 20 minutes as part of the planned night of poetry.) Many of you have said you'd try come see me read if I got a feature, now is your chance. Here are the details.

It's a small venue, but the people who run it (Scott Woods and Vernell Bristow) are professional, intelligent, amazing people who are both also talented poets. Quite simply, the Writers' Block people rock. Last night after a poetry slam which was in itself very high-quality, a Writers' Block regular, Rose Smith, read something that I can only characterize as so good it was mind-blowing. If you're lucky, she'll be there Friday and read her stuff. If she's not there, you'll still get a chance to hear some great work -- and not just by me.
